can you tell me if i could wear contact lenses while i have pink eye?

Not a good idea: The eye needs unobstructed flow of tears to combat infections like pink eye. Wearing a contact can inhibit this and possibly encourage other types of infection to occur. Hang in there without the lens until the condition clears.
