You can guess: Eye color used to be thought of as a simple mendelian trait (google this), with brown being dominant, and blue recessive. It is far more complex than that, but in general parents and grandparents eye color can predict somewhat a child's eye color. So, if both parents are blue eyed, the child will likely have blue eyes. If both parents are brown eyed, the child will likely have brown eyes, etc.
