Recently switched from salts to adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) xr 20mg. is it ok to ingest half the beads about 6 hours after initial dose? am xr seems to wear off

Mixed amphetamine: Salts =generic name for adderall. It's almost impossible to separate the 2 different time-release beads in the the capsule to insure smooth delivery, so it's not recommended. Increasing the dose to 25 or 30 mg. Can increase duration of action, but also risk of side effects. Vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) the "pro-drug" form of Adderall takes ~ 2 hours to kick in but usually lasts 12-14 hours. Discuss with your doctor.
