See your doctor: Persistently swollen lymph nodes sometimes occurs secondary to a viral or bacterial infection. Usually when the virus or infection is treated or goes away on its own, the lymph node will return to its normal size. If a lymph node does not return to normal size it becomes suspicious for cancer and should be seen by a doctor and biopsied if that is truly what it is.
