Colon cancer: Colon cancer is a result of interaction between genetic factors and environmental factors, resulting in an abnormal and uncontrolled proliferation of gut cells. Environmental factors include diet, alcohol, smoking, certain bacterial infection, etc. Genetic change include mutations in tumor suppressor genes and dnr repair genes, both of which normal safeguard out genome.
