A member asked:

Could you tell me what is the name of the vein and artery that faces opposite of the rest?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pulmonary: Veins carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart and arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart and towards the organs. Pulmonary arteries carry deoxygenated (venous) blood to the lungs and pulmonary veins carry oxygenated (arterial) blood out of the lungs.
