Help please, what happens when you sprain something in your body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ligament injury: Caleb, a sprain by definition is a ligament injury. We devide sprains into 3 grades (grade 1: no ligament disruption, grade 2: mild ligament disruption, grade 3: total ligament disruption). Most sprains heal just fine with conservative care (rest, compress, ice, and elevate), as well as minimal use. If the pain from a sprain does not get better in 5-7 days, see your doctor, as you may need an Xray
