Please explain what does brown vomit indicate?

Vomit can vary in color from dark red to brown or black. Vomiting red fresh blood is not good and neither is vomit that has coffee ground appearance which is Just old blood. Brown vomit may actually be a shade of red and indicate there is bleeding in the stomach. Constipation can also cause brown vomiting. You should be assessed by your doctor if this is more than just a one off.
