Antibacterial: The "Triple" part of the name refers to the fact that the ointment contains three active ingredients: bacitracin, polymyxin, and neomycin. Other antibiotic ointments may have just bacitracin or bacitracin with polymyxin. About 10% of people are allergic to neomycin, so they should avoid products with neomycin if they need an antibiotic ointment for a skin infection.
