A member asked:

Please explain what do you call the bag of water beside your bed you're connected to when in hospital?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

IV fluid: Most patients in the hospital will have an IV which is a very small tube that allows fluid and medication to be administered. The bag of water is usually either Normal Saline or lactated ringers- water with nutrients added
