Abnormal stools : Any changes in stool shape from the usual should be evaluated as soon as possible especially in your age group. Starting at age 50 it is anyway recommended to have colon cancer screening( routine check up) even in patients with no symptoms. Other symptoms to check is blood in stool, weight loss, worsening constipation. My advise is to see a gastroenterologist as soon as possible.
