Yes: If a mother has genital warts which are caused by hpv, a vaginal delivery may result in transmission to the baby. In the baby the hpv can be found on the vocal cords.

They can remain dormant and emerge within the first 2-3 yrs after birth.They have also been known to cause rare vocal cord nodules in infants.The germ can be acquired if shed during delivery but not during pregnancy.
