Herpes simplex: Nothing is absolute. This would depend upon the manner in which one was exposed and what the viral load to which they were exposed was.

Herpes: Yes. Of course. But, 90% of those infected do not have sores or outbreaks. The only way to test for herpes correctly is with blood tests.
