Upper stomach ache: Upper stomach pain can be a sign of gastritis, or irritation of the lining of the stomach. This can be caused by acid overproduction, bacteria and viruses, spicy or acidic foods and drinks, such as caffeinated and alcoholic drinks. Sometimes a simple anti-acid medication might help along with avoiding acidic foods that further irritate it. If the pain gets worse, go in to check it out.
