Need more info: A bowel movement does have some effect on the heart. Usually a large bowel movement can actually cause the heart to slow. However, if it is painful then the heart could speed up. Document more by taking your pulse when this happens and report it to your doctor. It is unlikely to be anything directly related to your heart.
