A member asked:

What can cause a malformation of the exterior jugular vein?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nature1: During development of our bodies, certain structures are not perfectly formed...So that is what may have happened. The exact cause, unknown, but it is harmless as nature takes care of it by providing back up veins which take over the functions quite well. So no worries here!
