Epsom salt baths: Soaking in a bath with epsom salt should not cause diarrhea. It can cause sensitivity around your genitals and anal region if you are sensitive to the epsom salts but it should not cause diarrhea. Hope this helps.

Not likely: Magnesium sulfate has to be ingested in order to affect bowel function.
