Herpes: Herpes can be on perineum as well as on vagina or penis. So using a condom does not always fully protect against herpes. If you think you have contracted it please get checked.

Herpes: I can't tell you the risk but you can get herpes even if you use a condom. There is still skin to skin contact even with a condom.

Not likely: Sexual activity is also oral sex as well. If you participated in that as well without protection then the chance of contracting herpes is possible. The threat increases if the sexual partner has a visible outbreak in the genital area. One can also contract herpes simplex (cold sores) on mouth if have active outbreak. About 1 in 4 have genital herpes without knowing it, no visible sign. Get tested.
