How is vagus nerve problems diagnosed and treated?

Very difficult: This is a very difficult question. The vagus nerve originates in the brain and is part of the autonomic nervous system. It innervates the vocal folds, it slows the heart rate, it decreases blood pressure, it increases nasal secretion, and slows bowel peristalsis (movement). Depending on which system you are interested in, nose, ear, heart, lungs, intestine, the vagus plays a role. See an md.

Many Ways: Vagus nerve problems cause trouble talking or swallowing, hearing loss, or heart or digestive problems. Bladder issues leading to incontinence are often reported in patients with vagus nerve damage as well.
