Yes: It can cause you not to have a period or can make them irregular. It does not protect you from getting pregnant so use condoms for birth control.

Breast feeding. : Yes, breast feeding will affect your period. Many people erroneously believe that because of hormone production during breast feeding, you can use this method for birth control. That is not true. There is an increased level of progesterone, and periods are certainly affected.
