Pregnancy: Missed periods can happen due to multiple reasons not only pregnancy. Eating habits, skipping meals ( anorexia) stress, thryoid disease , pregnncy etc. If you had unprotected sex of course pregnancy is a possibility. Most of the time the test is positive the few days after you missed your period. Talk to your doctor about it and repeat pregnancy test if you still believe your are pregnant.
