Is it okay to take azithromycin in conjunction with doxycycline at the same time? i have been prescribed both in response to chronic epididymitis.

Overkill??: The cdc recommended treatment for proven or suspected gonorrhea or chlamydia causing a) urethritis is either single dose of Azithromycin 1000mg or Doxycycline 100mg bidx7 days; and for b) acute epididymitis (gc and chlamydia most common cause in males.
