Panic: You have already panic. There is a danger of infection but infections take time - a lot of time. For now clean the wound as best you can. I prefer an iodine solution available at most drug stores without a rx. Follow with an antibiotic ointment. In the unlikely event the wound swells or gets worse rather than better go to urgent care clinic.
