Is MSG in the food? : Some chinese restaurants add msg (monosodium glutamate) to their food as a flavor enhancer. You may be responding to this food additive rather than the food itself. Ask your restaurant about this. Not all add this stuff -- the higher end ones are more health conscious and won't do it. Seasonings in some dishes may result in sensitivities in some people also. Check on hot peppers, etc.
