Can swallowing progesterone help ripen the cervix?

Progesterone: I assume you are talking about ripening cervix prior in labor. If so, Progesterone is not commonly used for this purpose. Instead, prostoglandins such as Cytotec (misoprostol) can be used but i won' take it on my own initiative unless you are given it by your obgyn while in the hospital ready to have the baby.
