Alopecia?: There is a condition called alopecia which causes the hair to fall out. This is different from male pattern baldness which is genetic and not a disorder. It can be in patches or the entire body. A dermatologist can tell you if you have alopecia (an autoimmune disorder) and treat it. Peace and good health.

Nutrition is key!: Biotin is helpful for hair growth, but what's more important is your ability to absorb your nutrients found in food. Your history of using pepto-bismol, diarrhea, and other things suggest that you're having some issues with your gut. You need to work with your pcp, or an integrative medicine doctor to help you get on the right course. You need to make sure that you don't have thyroid issues which can contribute to hair loss, and other stressors. With history of heart surgery in many other conditions it would be helpful for you to get expert opinion.
