Diagnosis: Nasal congestion may be the result of allergic rhinitis, non-allergic rhinitis, overuse of over the counter sprays. It sounds like you are taking a sedating antihistamine. As always, diagnosis precedes treatment. See an ENT doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime try saline (warm salt water) irrigations.

Saline nose spray: Can help. Should see a doctor and get a definite diagnosis then appropriate treatment can be given. If you are getting drowsiness from an over the counter antihistamine you can try allergra or Claritin (loratadine) which are non drowsy.

Possibly a little: May try irrigating the nose with saline however the benefit will likely be partial at best. There are many medications which would not cause drowsiness and these include the recently otc nasal steroid. Talk to your doctor if these measures don't help. You may also try a hepa filter in the bedroom to reduce the amount of airborne allergens.
