Upper abdominal discomfort going on for four days, ct and blood work normal, doctor prescribed naproxen, discomfort continues, bloating too, what is it?

?gastritis: Ct scans may miss shallow peptic ulcers or inflammation of the gastric lining. If you're still having upper abdominal discomfort, i would be hesitant to take Naproxen as it can be quite harsh on the stomach and increase acid production. Try a bland diet and take mylanta 1/2 hours after meals and at bedtime. You could also take prilosec. If symptoms persist, consult a gastroenterologist.

Wrong treatment: One should absolutely never prescribe any NSAID such as Naproxen for GI issues. Stop it immediately and get another opinion.
