Genetic factors: No currently-defined mental illness is 100% genetic, as shown by the fact that 1 identical twin can have the disorder, & the other doesn't. But there is genetic risk, i.e., an increased likelihood, for many disorders. We don't know the full cause of mental illnesses; our current models include genetics as well as other factors.
