Yes they really are.: The properties that increase a chemical's addictiveness are how fast it gets to the brain and how quickly the effect wears off, prompting repeat dosing. That explains why the most addictive substances are nicotine and crack Cocaine inhaled as smoke, which reaches the brain in about 10 secs and wears off as soon as 20-30 minutes later. I recommend you avoid both.
