Thought Addiction!: They're not addictions, they're habits of thinking. If i said, "don't think of a huge, pink elephant!", what's the first thing that you think of? There are things you can learn, like relaxation skills, to help you control your thoughts, rather than the other way around. Also, accept you're doing your best rather than trying to do your best. Short-term counseling could be really helpful for this.
