What are some alternatives for shaving your head for cancer?

Cut it short: I usually advise against shaving the head because it causes nicks and cuts which can become infected. Also, patients develop folliculitis because of the irritation. Cut it short to make it easier to accept emotionally and make your bed and sink easier to clean.
