Talk to your doctor: most probably you won't be allergic to the alternate medicine, at any rate take the first dose in your doctor's office or in any ER waiting area, wait for an hour after that dose, if any serious reaction, it will occur in that first hour, other later reactions, if any, would be milder in nature and reversible with stopping the medicine then talking to your doctor about the reaction, good luck
