A member asked:

My joints crack all the time why is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See details: The sound is caused by bursting of nitrogen bubbles which are formed as the result of normal metabolism in the synovial fluid in the joint. Other causes include, rapid stretching of ligaments and cavitations in the joint which form a partial vacuum and then rapidly collapse.
