Seek attention: If your grandmother has not had a BM for more than 7 days dispite using laxatives, suppositories, and enemas as directed she is likely also having abdominal pain, maybe even decreased appitite and nausea/vomiting. She may have obstipation. This means the stool is stuck inside. Medication, decreased oral fluids can cause. If all these treatments were tried w/no help needs exam.

What else should I be advocating for, in regards to my seven year old daughter who suddenly became sick 2months ago and still is she had severe stomach pain. Doc thought appendix. Then they said constipated and i said no she goes once or twice a day. Not
Son is not constipated. Has 3 bm's/day. Stool is soft not loose. He goes when he feels urgency but stool takes an hour to complete each time. ?
20+ solid BMs a week. Urgency as well. Some nausea and gas. Been a few weeks. Should I see a doc? Is there something at home I can do?
