Back pain: Most back pain originates from overexertion or acute injury (or doing something you are not used to). I would suggest initial rest - by that I do not mean bed rest - rather walking and gentle stretching. Additionally if you can take nsaids (advil) along with heat or cold to the area as well as a nice bath. If within the next week no improvement or any neurologic loss ever develops see a doc.
