Need more info: An x-ray, the location of the tooth, and the teeth around it should tell you what it is. It is very unusual for a tooth to come in at your age.

Your Age...12!: If it is the last tooth in your mouth that is erupting and you are around twelve years old, you are getting your twelve year molars. Sure a dental radiograph will prove the point and you can have it checked at your next cleaning. Keep the area clean by flossing the back wall of the tooth next to it and brush the emerging tooth. Doing both will keep you comfortable during you teen/tween teething.

Which tooth?: The second molar (also known as the 12 year molar) is the generally the seventh tooth from front to back, while the wisdom tooth (or third molar) is the eighth tooth from front to back. Unless you are a dentist with experience and the ability to take x-rays and evaluate them, you can't be sure since at your age especially with missing teeth they may not be in those positions of your jaw.

12yr molar or wisdom: A 12year molar comes in at about 12years of age. A wisdom tooth averages about 16years at eruption. Some earlier other later. Get a check up and your dds/dmd will do a clinical exam and radiographs to figure this out. At 50 it is likely a wisdom tooth. But see your professional for advice.
