Yes it can: Watching parents abuse each other is harmful to kids; specific effects depend on developmental stage and needs. Kids may feel that treating others this way is appropriate and expected, and some become perpetrators themselves. They may have no insight into their own behavior, since it's "normal" in their family of origin. Mental health professionals can help you sort through this -- please see one.
