Moving assistance.: The first few days following a transurethral resection of bladder tumor will be characterized by passage of blood in the urine, urinary frequency, urgency, and possible incontinence. An elderly patient will require help with transfers and traveling to the toilet. For those too frail to make the trip, a bedside commode or a hand-held urinal will be helpful.
