Legg-Calve-Perthes: Legg-calve-perthes disease can not be prevented. But with appropriate treatment, most children can go back to normal activities within 18 months to two years.

Poorer outcome: Outcome in legg perthes disease seems to be poorer in cases occurring in adolescence. Onset of Perthes before age 6 is better than after age 6. The onset of Perthes after age 9 is generally associated with a poor outcome. Structurely the less flattened and more rounded femoral head better prognosis
