Probably yes: Zzzquil is just another brand name to Diphenhydramine 25mg. Other brand names are benadryl, (diphenhydramine) and unisom. It is ok to give it only at night, because it does causes sedation. If your son needs an antihistamine during the day, use a non-sedating such as Loratadine (claritin) or fexofenadine (allegra).
