Menses: Menstrual cycles usually last between 21 and 35 days. Periods are usually 2 to 7 days (3 to 5 is the norm).

Count: The number of days from the first day that you come on a menstrual period to the day before you start your next menstrual period. if that number is between 24 and 32, then these cycles would be considered normal. in a normal menstrual cycle the number of days of bleeding does not exceed 5.
