A member asked:

Is it normal for your menstrual cycle to be more than 28 days?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very common...: The 28 days are so called 'average cycle length" but this varies--i have seen patients having as short as 18 days and as long as 41. Most birth control pill packages are designed to have a 28-day cycle, but this is obviously is just an average. It is very common to have a few days longer or shorter than 28. Consult doc. Good luck.
