Many causes: If there has been a change in vision get it checked as soon as possible. It is possible that you simply have a glasses prescription in one eye and not the other. Farsighted prescriptions can be focused in, but the focusing declines noticeably as one goes through the 40's. An eye exam will distinguish a prescription difference from other causes such as cataract, retinal problems, etc.
