Can cymbalta (duloxetine) increases adhd symptoms?

Can cause agitation: Medications like Cymbalta (duloxetine) can cause activation and agitation causing restlessness and possible poor concentration. This is not adhd per se, but if you are more agitated and activated on the cymbalta, (duloxetine) it may mimic 'hyperactivity'. Please consult your prescribing physician as this may be a side effect of the Cymbalta (duloxetine) requiring an adjustment or change in medication.

Questionable: It is not at all clear that Cymbalta (duloxetine) has a significant effect on the reduction of the symptoms of ADHD. There are far better medications for this purpose, and they are the stimulants, as in Ritalin, Concerta and Adderall.
