Tough: If highly motivated may do tapering off. That will reduce adverse effects but success rate low. Find church based or non profit counselling centers to help. Good luck.

Go to a doctor: Dear low key, for the down low...Go to a doctor who can prescribe suboxone. Go to the Suboxone web site help line. They have programs and assistance for patients with financial issues. You really need the support of a support team to shake this addiction.

Caps on PLEASE: Isn't going to help. There are places with "free-care" slots if you qualify.Get on waiting lists for one of those slots. Detoxes have a more than 90% failure rate, which is not a failure of the program but of the method. For highly motivated people, cold turkey detox (use tylenol, (acetaminophen) advil, pepto bismol, imodium, benadryl, lots of fluids, maybe vitamins) and lots of na meetings can help. Get medicaid.
