You should: Since pathological processes in the head and neck can provoke a secondary headache as well as activate a primary headache disorder, the first step in diagnosis is to exclude an organic cause for the headache. This includes laboratory tests, neuroimaging and neurodiagnostic tests. Rec.: see orofacial pain or headache specialist for further investigation.
