Throat lozenge?: Simple things like gargling, throat lozenges are a good start. If its more painful, maybe some pain medication like tylenol (acetaminophen)? If its really bad, we need to figure out the underlying cause and perhaps treat that.

Remedies: Saltwater gargles are very helpful. Mix a teaspoon of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle with this several times a day. You can gargle with aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. A mixture of chamomile tea with honey & a small amount of lemon juice is good. Pour boiling water over thinly sliced organic ginger. Steep for at least five minutes in a covered pot. Add 2 to 3 tbs of honey & sip.
