Yes, the hunching!: When you hunch, your posture changes by quite a bit in terms of shoulders folding forward, and inward, chest being compressed, and your diaphragm also being compressed, leading to an inability to breathe fully. So you've successfully answered your own question. The next part is to know what to do. You might benefit from a lumbar support pillow both at work, school, car, and at home to help maintain your posture. Also orthotics or arch supports helps in the same way. You may benefit from seeing an osteopathic physician who can both help you with this and also help you breathe easier without discomfort.

Posture?: Posture does have an effect on body functioning. If you know you slouch, work to ways to improve your posture. As a thought, if you are overweight and sit slouched over, the compression of your chest over stomach can cause that tightness. It is great the medical tests were negative, so improve your posture and follow up with your doctor if the tightness continues. Be well!
