Very different...: I'm assuming by "heart blockage" you're referring to coronary artery blockage, also know as coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease (CAD) refers to the development of fatty deposits in the wall of the arteries in the heart muscle, ultimately leading to decrease heart function. If the function is impaired enough, it is called heart failure (hf). In short, CAD may lead to hf.
